Every village must have a hedgewitch: someone who navigates the forest and be a liaison between the creatures there and the villagers. The village hedgewitch provides potions and charms to cure all manner of ill and to accomplish great feats. And the hedgewitch provides advice and magical service to those who come to their door.

Welcome to Path of the Hedgewitch, a solo-play table top roleplaying game. You play a character whose old granny has died and left you her cabin and her role as the village hedgewitch. You arrive in the village of Bristle Bottom with only a few items in your possession and a desire to learn how to be a hedgewitch.

In the game you can visit the village, help villagers with their problems, forage for magical materials, and go on adventures. If you want to stick closer to home you can work on the cabin, create potions and charms, bake and even romance various villagers. The vibes are cozy, the game play is low stakes, and all you need is a handful of dice and your own imagination.

The game play in Path of the Hedgewitch, all revolve around three dice: a d6, d10 and d20. For most scenarios you’ll need to roll a d10 to set your challenge rating and then roll a d6 and add the relevant attributes, and any bonuses, to see if you succeed or fail.

Inspired by games like Iron Sworn and Iron Valley, Path of the Hedgewitch, is not a journaling RPG, although you are encouraged to write little entries for each day’s adventure.  Each morning in game you roll a dice to find out what the day’s adventure will bring. You’ll then roll to on various tables to find out what the adventure will entail. The book has 120+ scenarios and activities for your character.

Path of the Hedgewitch will be a 100 page 5 ½” by 8 ½” hardcover book. It will be fully illustrated with beautiful charcoal sketches by 13th Moon Games’ Art Goblin. Coming in 2026.
